Conclave 2024 MULTI.WEBRip Magnet Link
When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading one of the most secret and ancient events in the world, the election of a new pope, he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundations of the Catholic Church. Many of the actions that Cardinal Lawrence takes during the conclave process in the film are true and accurate to the Catholic faith and centuries of tradition. Upon the pope’s death, his ring (known as the Fisherman’s Ring) is removed and destroyed; this is to prevent it from being used to forge the papal seal on documents. The Vatican has officially declared the throne of the Holy See vacant. The papal apartment is closed with a scarlet ribbon and sealed with the papal wax seal. The College of Cardinals is secluded in apartments (Domus Sanctae Marthae, House of Saint Martha) to eat and sleep between votes. Finally, the windows and doors to the Sistine Chapel, where the actual elections take place and votes are cast, are blacked out, closed, and locked to preserve the secrecy of the conclave. The Sistine Chapel was searched for wiretaps and other listening devices, all conclave servants were issued ID cards since a reporter disguised as a servant was discovered during the conclave that elected Pope Benedict XVI in 2005, all members of the College of Cardinals were required to surrender their cell phones and other electronic devices, the Vatican’s Wi-Fi network was temporarily shut down, and wireless jammers were installed in the Sistine Chapel. It was stated that Ayendi would be the first African pope. The Roman Catholic Church has had three African popes: Victor I (189-199 CE), Miltiades (also known as Melchias, 311-314 CE), and Gelasius I (492-496 CE). Lawrence: Our faith is alive precisely because it goes hand in hand with doubt. If there were only certainty and no doubt, there would be no mystery. Therefore, there is no need for faith. Let us pray that God will give us a pope who doubts. And may he give us a pope who sins and asks for forgiveness and who endures… Featured on The 7PM Project: Episode of December 10, 2024 (2024). I’ve just returned from the theater after seeing "Conclave" a film which I was extremely excited about and which I thoroughly enjoyed. For most of the film I was so enchanted by the magnificent cinematography, fantastic performances, great soundtrack and high quality costumes and set design that I was convinced that it had to be a 10/10 film. But then, unfortunately, came the ending. I believe that the ending of a film is the most important part. What will you leave the audience with? What is your final statement to them? Well, in this film it is so artificial, confusing and absurd that every last statement becomes unclear and I left the cinema with a bad taste in my mouth. The ending is so unrealistic that it threatens to destroy every frame of what came before. It was done solely to make a statement about the church and shock the audience. Well, it doesn’t ruin the movie as a whole (at least not for me), but unfortunately it ruins an otherwise excellent movie.
